Randy Tagawa
CEO
Randy spent his childhood working with his uncles in the fields and learning about the business from a young age. He attended Colorado State University, where he graduated with a degree in Horticultural Science. In 1996, Randy assumed responsibilities as CEO. He has been able to grow the business and build good teams through his decisive leadership. Randy also serves as Secretary of the American Floral Endowment and is a board member of Bauchman’s Floral Home & Garden.
Gary Schoneman
CFO & Retail Business Unit Manager
Gary oversees the accounting and financial strategy of Tagawa Greenhouse and related entities. Gary also oversees the product development team, our regional merchandising managers and is our direct liaison for key accounts. Gary joined Tagawa in 2008 and recognized the benefits of building and maintaining long term, mutually-beneficial relationships. This approach is a perfect match for Gary’s forward-thinking style. He has instilled that mission with both his accounting staff and retail team members.
Bill Kluth
Greenhouse Operations Manager
Bill oversees greenhouse operations which currently span two million square feet over four facilities and is responsible for all legal and compliance matters. Before joining Tagawa in 1997, Bill spent eight years with the Ball Seed Company as a Product Manager. Bill also worked for DeJong Greenhouses in Iowa as a grower after graduating from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls with a degree in Horticulture. Bill is instrumental in maintaining the quality and reliability of our products established by our founders.
Wendy Wilder-Heckard
Young Plant Business Manager & Director of Logistics
Wendy joined Tagawa in 2010. Her initial responsibilities were coordinating shared services such as HR, IT, Customer Service, and implementation of SOP’s. Wendy’s attention to detail was leveraged by the CEO and her role was expanded to include pricing and programs. Today, she oversees all Young plant business and directs distribution and logistics. Her teams are responsible for managing orders received from clients through transport of finished products both in terms of bringing materials to a production facility and sending finished product to customers.
Ashlie A. Tagawa Mohr
Human Resources Manager
Ashlie oversees Human Resources and joined Tagawa in 2016 to focus on staffing, training and employee relations. Ashlie graduated from Colorado State University in 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Linguistics and spent six months in Japan teaching at Eikaiwa — an English Conversation School. She holds her PHR Certification through HRCI and is part of the family’s fourth generation in the business. Ashlie's focus is on growing employees and relationships through a positive and collaborative approach while continuing the family traditions of hard work and open communication.
